Design week 13-17 September

Firstly the back ground brings out the image, more than any other colour would. It goes from dark to light in the middle, it brings your focus to the girl and the dress.
The use of a plain sea-green colour lets it stand out more, because sometimes "less is more" but there is still lots of detail left that makes it an interesting dress!
Love the way the photographer used an action shot compared to the normal boring still live shot. It's much more effective and grabs one's attention when for instance walking by a poster or paging threw a magazine. The movement helps you to see what the dress can do for you more affectively than a still live shot, it gives the dress a different personality, more exotic and funky than being boring.
And in this image it isn't all about sex sells, but rather the movement and the way the whole image is put together that would sell the dress.

A modern piece of jewellery with an antique old feel to it. Personally I love the use of colour, the soft pink combined with the hard oxidized metal feel and then again with a soft cream antique colour background to soften it up.
The whole piece is inspired by love and romance. The Eiffel tower, the heart, the rose and then the foreign language written on the plate, is all combined with one theme rather than random things on a chain.
The on going theme is love its shown by all the elements used for the necklace and further more when wearing the necklace its always close to your heart. I would say this is a great present for a lover with awesome symbolism to it.
