Design week 13-17 September

Firstly the back ground brings out the image, more than any other colour would. It goes from dark to light in the middle, it brings your focus to the girl and the dress.
The use of a plain sea-green colour lets it stand out more, because sometimes "less is more" but there is still lots of detail left that makes it an interesting dress!
Love the way the photographer used an action shot compared to the normal boring still live shot. It's much more effective and grabs one's attention when for instance walking by a poster or paging threw a magazine. The movement helps you to see what the dress can do for you more affectively than a still live shot, it gives the dress a different personality, more exotic and funky than being boring.
And in this image it isn't all about sex sells, but rather the movement and the way the whole image is put together that would sell the dress.

A modern piece of jewellery with an antique old feel to it. Personally I love the use of colour, the soft pink combined with the hard oxidized metal feel and then again with a soft cream antique colour background to soften it up.
The whole piece is inspired by love and romance. The Eiffel tower, the heart, the rose and then the foreign language written on the plate, is all combined with one theme rather than random things on a chain.
The on going theme is love its shown by all the elements used for the necklace and further more when wearing the necklace its always close to your heart. I would say this is a great present for a lover with awesome symbolism to it.

Love for photography...

Love... We all dream of this day, since we were little. The day you fall in love with the one, the day you commit yourself to one person and one person only and the kiss... This picture has a romantic feeling to it, the newly wed couple in love, that's what we all want in the end. This picture would never have worked in colour, the black and white works so well because it allows your thoughts to colour in the picture, the way you wants it to be. The way they use silhouettes instead of peoples faces, give the viewer the opportunity to place him/herself into the position so that he/her can connect with the picture emotionally. That is what photography is all about, to capture a moment so great that everyone can connect with it and words alone can't explain it, everyone's thoughts is different, that's why this picture works so well.

Jewellery Crit...

Diamonds are truly a girl’s best friend...

Personally I don’t like gold, but in this design it works. If it was in silver or platinum, it would have a more modern feel to it rather than that old grandma’s wedding ring that one has inherited. Love the design, the way the big diamond is the focus point and the smaller diamonds compliment it, by reflecting the light threw it. Don’t think it’s very practical, not the type of ring you can wear daily, but certainly a ring for that special night out.

One can never go wrong with vintage...

The combination of pearls and diamonds is commonly used together, but the way they are put together in these pieces is something else. That’s why I like it so much, firstly it’s vintage and besides that it’s different. It’s a good design because the diamond “curves” compliments the pearls in such a way that your eye is drawn to the whole piece rather than focusing only on one element.

First jewellery crit...

Love Lace, if I could, I would...
Lace in everything makes the fashion world a better place:)
The colours is earthy, and thats my type, im all about blending in, rather than sticking out like a sore thumb...

Design crit...

I like this picture because it has a mistery vibe to it. It's the whole cloudy effect, it makes one wonder and the track gives a feeling of never ending. Your thoughts is not limited, same as the clock, if you think about it, time never ends, it can go on and on. Love the typography it creates a more scary, grave yard look and sort o give one the creeps at the same time. Almost like ones thoughts sometime.

Artist Statement...

Statement:

Inspiration comes at night when everyone is sleeping and the night is quite. And it’s just u and your own thoughts, nobody to disturb you and poison your mind. My designs always have a romantic feel to it. My head is always exploding with ideas and things, but can’t seem to get it out. And once it started to explode I can’t stop my hands from going crazy. The nouveau era is my biggest inspiration for most of my ideas.
